Overview of Course:

The purpose of this course (Journal Monograph) is to provide the CRNAs with a thorough understanding of the surgical procedure, perioperative process, and anesthetic considerations that are vital to providing comprehensive care to patients.

Learner Outcomes:

Upon completion of this course, the learner will be able to:

1.) Review the anatomy and sensory innervation of the peripheral nerves of the ankle and foot.

2.) Describe the appearance of key anatomical structures in the ankle on an ultrasound image.

3.) Explain the proper technique for performing blocks of the different nerves of the ankle.
