Overview of Course
Upon completion of this course, nurse anesthetists will be equipped with applicable strategies to align practice with enhanced recovery and improved patient outcomes.

Upon completion of this course, the learner will be able to:
1. Describe the preoperative preparation for the patient undergoing major abdominal surgery.
2. Identify intraoperative anesthetic strategies, including: pharmacologic, fluid management, regional anesthesia, and clinical monitoring for the patient undergoing major abdominal surgery.
3. Develop postoperative plans of care for the patient undergoing major abdominal surgery.
Verification of Participation
The participant will have only 2 opportunities to successfully complete the course post-test, which is comprised of 10 random questions pulled from the test pool of questions. The passing score of at least 80% is required for the exam in this course. If the participant fails the post test, he or she will not receive CE credits for this course.
This course has been prior approved by the AANA for 1.0 Class A CE credit; AANA Code Number: 1035639.
The American Association of Nurse Anesthetists designates this program as meeting the criteria for up to 0.50 CE credit in Pharmacology/Therapeutics.
