Overview of Course

The purpose of this program is for attendees be equipped with the fundamental information and skills necessary for Enhanced Recovery program success to improve patient outcomes and contribute to organizational health.

Learner Outcomes

Upon completion of this course, the learner will be able to:

  1. Discuss why opioid-sparing anesthesia and analgesia techniques improve patient return to pre-procedure status and decrease risk of opioid dependency.
  2. Describe the fundamental pharmacology and techniques for multimodal analgesia.
  3. Outline how you will start or increase integration of multimodal techniques into your surgical and obstetric practice.

Verification of Participation

The participant will have only 2 opportunities to successfully complete the course post-test, which is comprised of 5 random questions pulled from the test pool of questions. The passing score of at least 80% is required for the exam in this course. If the participant fails the post test, he or she will not receive CE credits for this course.

Accreditation Statement

This course has been prior approved by the AANA for 1.00 Class A CE credit; AANA Code Number: 1038253.

AANA designates this program as meeting the criteria for up to 1.00 CE Credit in Pharmacology/Therapeutics.
