Overview of Course:
Mechanical Ventilation historic component are not necessarily studied or available. This activity will help the learner gain knowledge in new advances in mechanical ventilation for anesthesia practice. It will also enable to learner to review ALI/ARDS and utilization of Lung Protective Strategies.
Upon completion of this course, the learner will be able to:
Describe and discuss the conventional modes of mechanical ventilation historically used, including advantages and disadvantages of each modality.
Describe and discuss newer modes of mechanical ventilation utilized in ICU’s, including Lung Protective Strategies for ALI/ARDS patients.
The course post-test will not launch until you have full watched the video in its entirety. The passing score of at least 80% is required for the exam in this course. The participant will have only 1 opportunity to successfully complete the course post-test which is 20 random questions pulled from the test pool of questions. If the participant fails the post test, they will not receive CE credits for this course.
