AANA Journal Course No. 36, Part 3: Awareness With Recall: A Systemic Review
Overview of Course:
The purpose of this activity is to review best practices regarding depth of anesthesia monitoring for the anesthesia provider.
Upon completion of this course, the learner will be able to:
1. Explain the effects of anesthesia awareness with regard to the patient’s intra- and post-operative experience.
2. Describe the surgical, patient, and provider factors that contribute to cases of anesthesia awareness.
3. Identify potential benefits and limitations of EEG monitors such as BIS.
The course post-test will not launch until you have full watched the video in its entirety. The passing score of at least 80% is required for the exam in this course. The participant will have only 1 opportunity to successfully complete the course post-test which is 10 random questions pulled from the test pool of questions. If the participant fails the post test, they will not receive CE credits for this course.
